12th July 2018; Back at #southdevonrailway for their 40's two day event. Steam Train rides all day long and lots of amazing vintage war memorabilia including cars, Army trucks and a spit fire! Everyone had been in great spirits, and had lots of music and fun to go with the theme, including lots of 40's fancy dress.
Again, the weather really was on our side, glorious sunshine and we were so hot in our uniform and minimal ventilation in our little caravan. Again, this had been a testing time, having Mollys lovely boyfriend with us...Three in the van had been a bit of a squeeze. We had to ensure work space and tasks for each of us, and work on how to serve customers in the best possible way. We have been told by many customers that our 1960's caravan often had up to six people living inside on trips and holidays....We aren't sure how, but very glad there had been no more than three. We are also very lucky we are not that tall, as anyone over 5 foot 5 wouldn't be able to get inside!
A great event again, and we are glad to have been invited,
