Happy 2019 from Rise and Grind Plymouth

Happy 2019 from Rise and Grind! Bit behind with this post, but we had a well overdue break. Time out after the hectic run up to Christmas festivities and Winter fun. We took a long few weeks out to have some TLC, chill out and recharge our batteries ready for a crazy 2019. It also gave us time to give our little caravan some TLC too. A good clean inside and out and some repair work to ensure she also feels rejuvenated for this year.

We had an amazing first year, and 2018 provided many highs and lows of running a business, provided us with many new skills that will help us to achieve bigger and better goals over the next few years. It has been an amazing experience so far, helped us grow as individuals as well as learn how to work together as Sisters. We've had so much support and help from friends and family - and we ended 2018 feeling very blessed, and feeling that risk taking should happen more often in life. My advice is to live life to the full, and if something isn't feeling good or you're feeling unhappy with aspects of your life...make a plan to change it. Life is what you make it, and I really can't wait to see what is in store for us over the next 12 months.

Our first two events for 2019 had been at the brilliant Royal William Yard for their Monthly Craft and Food Market in February and March. We have amended our menu selection for this event due to the competition on site and know our USP is our amazing barista coffee, hot drinks, liqueur coffees and delicious cake. We made sure our focus was more around the mobile coffee shop experience - and this made the experience even better for us. We understand that there will always be an amount of trial and error with everything we do, but also understand the importance of continually reviewing and improving, ready for the next trendsetting idea that we want to support and bring to our customers! Both events were a success, lots of customers came by to enjoy the food and craft stalls as well as the Circus acts and live entertainment. We look forward to many more to come, and some good Weather over the Summer months!

We had many trial and error moments, amazing successes and some times we put down to experience, had a laugh and moved on. Not everything is easy, but it's given us a bigger and better understanding of what we want, and what we need to succeed. This year we have put all of these experiences into making the customer experience even better, make our menu choices more inspiring and move forward with even bigger events.

We have a few MASSIVE events lined up for 2019, and although this seems like a pretty scary thought...I know we have the determination to succeed and grow Rise and Grind into a really amazing business. This is only the start for us, and we want people to remember 'Rise and Grind' because we are ready, and the foundations are now in place to ensure our bricks and mortar cafe dream becomes reality.

Keep dreaming and keep believing

Lots of Love

Sophie
