A B O U T   U S

Two sisters set out on our mission at the end of 2017, to embark on building our coffee empire one step at a time, starting with the purchase of our beautiful 1960's Thompson T-Line caravan and converting into a mobile coffee shop. Our focus has always been on quality, home-made, locally sourced menu with a great atmosphere and customer service to go with it!

We have spent the last 3 years travelling around the UK to events, festivals and weddings and gained a great understanding and passion for what our customers want. Now... we look to embark on our next exciting adventure, to open our very first coffee shop in our childhood town of Plymouth! To keep up to date with our latest adventure follow us @riseandgrindplymouth - We would love to hear from you.

"I had always been interested in business from a young age, always worked hard to achieve my aspirations and dreams in business and feel this is something that makes me want to get up in the morning!

I have always wanted to own a coffee shop, but knew how hard it is for businesses in their first few years looked at alternative ways of getting our foot on the ladder to pursue our passion and make it a success. After visits to City's such as London I could see the Street Food trend growing and knew this would be our gap in the market, and something relatively new to Plymouth. This was our starting platform for Rise and Grind, our beautiful Thompson T-line mobile coffee shop!

This has been an exciting venture for us both, and has not come without it's challenges, but I couldn't think of anyone better to be working with and being able to share this experience together. We are so excited for what the future may bring and have our sights set high for the future of Rise & Grind, and our next step? Opening Rise and Grinds first coffee and cocktail bar!

I hope this can inspire others to follow their dreams and be inspired that you can make it happen."

"I am extremely excited about working with my sister in our own independent business.

I love coffee and I am passionate about baking so figured why not work for myself doing something I love!

We have been working so hard on our menu choices, suppliers, prices and ensuring we offer something a bit different from what Plymouth currently has to offer. I bake for fun, and experimenting with different styles and ingredients has been so fun. I want to make sure people taste our cakes and remember our name for the quality of food we produce, and service we give. Our focus is on yummy foods as much as healthy alternatives.

I am very creative and have worked in this industry for years and feel I have gained so much experience from working in the hospitality industry. I am ready for this challenge and can't wait to meet and build our customer relationships. We both have different strengths and feel this partnership will provide the ying and yang needed for a business to work.

We wanted the branding to be unique and I am so happy with our vision so far. I really hope our customers love it just as much as we do."
